It’s important to make resolutions that can not only improve health but also be followed for life. Here are a few simple steps you can take to make a better new year for yourself and your health!
1. Sleep Sleep Sleep!

3. Take time for yourself.
Take a time out. Spend at least 20 minutes a day in a quiet space that allows you to express your inner voice. 5. Exercise.
The Federal government's Physical Guidelines for Americans recommend that each week, adults should do 2 ½ to 5 hours per week of moderate-intensity aerobic activity or 75 to 150 minutes of vigorous-intensity activity. Aerobic activity is anything that makes your heart beat faster, such as brisk walking, jogging, bicycling, dancing, swimming, etc.
6. Help others and show kindness.
Wouldn't the new year be wonderful if everyone around you made it an effort to show extra kindness around them? Assisting other people, such as volunteering at a food pantry or performing a random act of kindness, can have multiple health benefits, including lowering blood pressure, boosting self-esteem, and relieving stress.
7. Keep a positive attitude.

8. Improve your oral health.
